UKPMS Information Sheet
The United Kingdom Pavement Management System (UKPMS) is a standard for computer systems that support the management of scheduled maintenance through the monitoring of condition on UK local authority hard paved areas including roads, footpaths and cycle tracks.
UKPMS systems enable authorities to split the UK road network into distinct linear sections. Local authorities can then carry out visual surveys to capture inventory and condition data about the surfaces and produce Best Value Performance Indicators, as required by central government.
There is no single UKPMS; however there are a number of software solutions available that have been recognised as meeting the UKPMS standard.
